West Tennessee State Penitentiary Easter Bags

HENNING – The Easter holiday just got a bit brighter for many families at the Ronald McDonald House.  Earlier today, inmates from the West Tennessee State Penitentiary Reentry Center filled more than 70 bunny-printed bags with lots of Easter candy.  The candy was provided by Charms Candy Company in Covington and community donations.  WTSP staff supervised the preparation of the bags and later delivered them to the Ronald McDonald House.

The mission of the Ronald McDonald House is to reduce the burden of childhood illness on children and their families.  Many times families are far from home and holidays can be especially difficult.  The Tennessee Department of Correction is proud to be a community partner and able to help give these brave families a bit of holiday normalcy.
