Six Divisions, One Mission

Adult Education
Tennessee's Adult Education program strengthens the workforce pipeline by assisting current and future employees in earning their diploma; enhancing their basic math, reading, writing, and English skills; building digital literacy and soft skills; and linking them to training and job opportunities.
TOSHA
The Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration (TOSHA) works to ensure the health and safety of Tennessee’s workers through standards enforcement, training, outreach, and education.
WIRED
The Workforce Insights, Research and Reporting Engine Division (WIRED) leverages labor market data and claimant and job seeker data to support data-driven decision-making for employers.
Workforce Services
The Workforce Services Division offers Tennessee employers customized solutions for addressing business needs, including targeted recruitment and talent matching, direct-hiring services, upskilling, and layoff aversion.
Workplace Regulations & Compliance
The Workplace Regulations & Compliance Division is responsible for enforcing labor laws, offering health and safety training to mine workers, and ensuring that unsafe conditions and potential hazards related to the operation of boilers, elevators, and amusement devices are addressed and mitigated.
Unemployment Insurance
Our unemployment insurance specialists can determine your company’s liability, help with filing Wage and Premium Reports, and assist with keeping your employer account in compliance.
