Overview: This 4-hour course focuses on the construction and inspection requirements, techniques, procedures, and technical knowledge necessary to ensure compliance with the minimum standards for commercial construction established by the 2021 International Building Code (IBC). Participants will gain an understanding of key code provisions related to building administration, occupancy classification, special occupancy considerations, building height, area and story limitations, fire-resistant construction, interior finishes, fire protection systems, means of egress, and the proper sizing and application of building materials used in commercial construction.
