Healthcare
You don’t have to leave your hometown to build a career that matters.
Through the Rural Healthcare Workforce Initiative, local partners are offering free training and apprenticeships across Tennessee’s 91 rural counties — at no cost to residents. Healthcare is one of the state’s most in-demand fields, offering job security, competitive starting pay, and high earning potential.
Programs are available now to equip Tennesseans with the skills, certifications, and real-world experience to build their futures — and serve their neighbors — in the communities they call home.
Benefits include:
- High-paying, stable careers
- Local training that fits your life
- Support to help you start
"If Tennesseans aren't healthy, our workforce can't thrive," said Deniece Thomas, Commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development. "The Rural Works program provides our neighbors the opportunity to train for healthcare careers right where they live — so they can care for their neighbors and strengthen their communities."
