On-the-Job Training (OJT)

On-the-Job Training (OJT) grants help employers hire and train new employees who need additional skills for a specific position. Through a training agreement with a Local Workforce Development Area, eligible employers may receive reimbursement for a portion of the trainee’s wages while the employee learns the job through structured, hands-on training in the workplace.

Incumbent Worker Training (IWT)

Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) grants help Tennessee businesses upskill their existing full-time workforce. Funding may be used for skills upgrades, process improvement training, new technologies, and other training initiatives that improve employee retention, productivity, and business competitiveness.
