New Academic Programs

In November 2025, THEC approved a revised Academic Policy A1.0 to provide a pathway for delegating program approval to THEC’s Executive Director. The New Academic Program Approval Policy and Checklist have been amended to align with the revised policy. Program proposals received on and after August 1, 2026 should align to the new checklist, and submissions received on or after January 1, 2026 may use the new checklist. If you have any questions, please reach out to Senior Director of Academic Affairs, Dr. Katherine Brackett (Katherine.Brackett@tn.gov) , or speak with your institutional program liaison.
