The Board considers Tuition Guaranty Fund (TGF) claims and disburses, if appropriate, funds assessed and collected from authorized postsecondary educational institutions. The Board is required to act on claims in a timely manner and to provide a written explanation for any action taken. Meetings of the Board are held as is necessary in view of the executive committee.
At the meeting on October 18, 2019, the Board will meet to approve the minutes of the last meeting, receive an update of the fund balance, be apprised of an anticipated rulemaking proceeding, and consider thirteen (13) claims filed by students who attended Brightwood College, L'Ecole Culinaire Memphis, Nashville Barber and Style Academy, Tennessee Academy of Cosmetology, The Barber School, and Vatterott Career Colleges, and one (1) claim filed by South College for the teachout of Fountainhead College of Technology students.
