The Geodetics Office is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining statewide policy, standards, specifications, and direction that promote uniformity and consistency across the Department.  Other responsibilities include researching and implementing emerging technology and providing technical guidance; providing training, staff development, and support to Region Geodetics and other TDOT Divisions; delivery of aerial surveys and state-wide base mapping; management of the CORS network and other Geodetics systems; and collaboration with internal and external partners.
