On Thursday, Feb. 12, Department of Safety and Homeland Security Commissioner Jeff Long and Tennessee Office of Homeland Security (OHS) Deputy Commissioner Greg Mays presented badges to five new OHS Special Agents in a graduation ceremony at the Old Supreme Court Chambers at the State Capitol.

“These latest graduates are a testament to the state’s continued commitment of keeping our communities safe with the presence of Special Agents in each of the state’s 95 counties.” said Commissioner Long. “We are grateful to our state lawmakers and Governor Bill Lee for supporting this initiative from the beginning. And we commend these graduates for their dedication to protecting and serving the citizens of Tennessee.

The graduating Special Agents will serve in each of the OHS’s four regions: East, West, Middle, North and Middle South. The East, West, and Middle South TN regions will gain one agent per region, while two will be stationed in Middle North TN.
