Tennessee Highway Patrol Arrests Man Wanted For Sex Charges

FALL BRANCH- On August 13th, 2019, Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) Fall Branch Interdiction Plus Trooper William Connors stopped a 2005 Chevrolet on I-75 South in Monroe County, Tennessee for several traffic violations.  While talking to the occupants, Trooper Connors observed one occupant in particular that was nervous and shaking.  THP Interdiction Plus Trooper Ryan Fletcher and Lieutenant Wayne Dunkleman arrived to assist in the investigation.  After running the occupants’ information, it was discovered one of the subject’s, 40-year-old Garcia Marcelo Rodrigo of Houston, Texas had full extradition warrants for his arrest out of Maryland for four counts of sex abuse to a minor and four counts of 3rd degree sex offense towards a minor.  Rodrigo was arrested without incident and charged with being a fugitive from justice.  He was booked into the Monroe County Detention Center.
