The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security announces the current Morristown Driver Services Center will close and relocate to a new center to better serve the citizens of Hamblen County. The new location will be located at 1551 East Morris Boulevard, east of Liberty Road.

Forty two members of the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) returned home this past Saturday after assisting the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) during the 58th Inauguration of the President of the United States. As part of a joint operation, the THP helped provide security during the inauguration events with numerous local and state law enforcement agencies from across the nation, as well as federal authorities and military personnel.

On Thursday, January 5, 2017, the Tennessee Highway Patrol’s (THP) Interdiction Plus Team (IPT) arrested William A. Holley, 31, of Fort Wayne, Indiana for drug trafficking. At the time of the traffic stop four children ranging from ages 5 to 10 years of age were in the vehicle.
