The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to the indictment and arrest of Amiee Martin Smith for tax evasion and theft of property. Revenue special agents arrested Smith, age 45, on Wednesday.

LEBANON, Tenn. - Christopher DeStefanis, 69, pleaded “no contest” to one count of attempted tax evasion in a Wilson County Criminal Court last week. Judge Brody Kane sentenced DeStefanis to 11 months and 29 days probation for attempted tax evasion. A restitution hearing was set for a later date.

ASHLAND CITY, Tenn. - The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to the indictment and arrest of Leon Potts, in Ashland City. Revenue special agents arrested Potts, age 85, at his residence. Bond was set at $1,000.

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to Todd Wilson Culpepper pleading guilty to one felony count of use tax evasion Culpepper, a certified public accountant, paid $9,170 in restitution to the Department of Revenue. He was sentenced to a one-year probation.
