Linkage to Care
Many people with SUD come from underserved communities, have low educational attainment and socioeconomic status, and lack access to healthcare. Following the philosophy that there is no wrong door to receive help for SUD, ORCO has developed and expanded Community Health Worker (or navigator) programs to link people with SUD with the appropriate treatment or social services available in Tennessee. These navigators are located in different settings such as local health departments, hospitals, corrections, and EMS agencies.
Find Help Now TN is a near-real-time treatment navigator website for the public. Modeled after Kentucky’s successful, Find Help Now KY, the site allows users to search by location, type of treatment and payment type among licensed substance-abuse treatment facilities throughout the state. It also allows users to see if facilities are currently accepting patients, a unique feature of Find Help Now. The site launched in the Fall of 2022.
