Tennessee Joint Task Force
The Tennessee Joint Task Force on Children’s Justice and Child Sexual Abuse (Joint Task Force) is a multidisciplinary group of professionals and advocates focused on the welfare of children reported to have been abused or neglected. The Task Force is charged with identifying existing problems and recommending solutions to DCS regarding the investigation and prosecution of child abuse and neglect.
The ultimate goal of the Joint Task Force is to enhance the safety and justice for abused and neglected children and their families. DCS staff serve on each of the five Task Force committees, which include:
- Child Protective Investigation Team
- Court Improvement Committee
- Prevention
- Training and Education
- Treatment
