SALARY: The entry level salary is $32,500 yearly, with an automatic increase to $34,100 upon successful completion of the one-year probationary period. Effective April 21, 2021, all newly hired correctional officer applicants will receive a $5,000 sign-on bonus, payable over an 18-month period.
Equipment and uniforms will be furnished. One meal will be furnished for each shift worked.
A test is not given for this position. Once interviewed and if accepted for the correctional officer position, you will receive training at the Tennessee Correction Academy.
