NASHVILLE, TN - The Tennessee Bureau of Workers' Compensation is proud to announce that employee, Lacy Conner, has been selected to be honored as an ”Outstanding State Employee Veteran” at the 2023 Governor's Veterans Day event at the National Guard Armory "Hall of Flags" in Nashville.

Conner is one of five outstanding Tennessee State Veteran Employees being recognized for her work-related accomplishments and outstanding job performance by Governor Lee at this event. Conner is Case Management Coordinator at Tennessee Bureau of Workers' Compensation and served as a Hospital Corpsman First Class in the Navy with 20 years of military service.

In her role at the state, Conner constantly looks for ways to make her program more efficient and enhance her customer service to the 1,400 actively registered case managers. A few of the various innovations she brought to the program include: a new way to track unpaid fees, a more efficient payment process during new case manager registration, updates to forms, recommendations to the program rules, and the creation of an orientation process for new case managers registering with the Bureau.

Each year she receives the highest ratings on all customer service satisfaction surveys and case managers frequently praise Conner for her responsiveness and level of detailed assistance. The Bureau is proud of her and all our veteran employees who first served our country before working to minimize the impact of work-related injuries for Tennesseans.
