ReadyTN Connect

ReadyTN Connect is a statewide partner network led by the Tennessee Emergency Management Authority to help trusted community organizations share preparedness, response, and recovery information with the people they serve.

Emergencies can happen anywhere in Tennessee, and when they do, people often turn first to the organizations and leaders they already know, including libraries, nonprofits, faith-based groups, schools, youth organizations, cooperatives, community centers, and local service providers. ReadyTN Connect equips these partners with tools, resources, and updates they can use to support preparedness outreach during blue skies, share verified information during gray skies, and help connect Tennesseans with trusted resources before, during, and after emergencies.

How ReadyTN Connect Partners Can Help

Community organizations are often already doing the work of serving, supporting, and connecting people every day. ReadyTN Connect is an opportunity to build on that work by helping trusted local partners share preparedness information before emergencies and verified information when disasters happen.

ReadyTN Connect partners can support their communities in ways that fit their mission, audience, and capacity, including:

• Sharing preparedness information and planning resources
• Hosting preparedness displays, workshops, story times, or community events
• Helping residents sign up for local alerts
• Including preparedness tips in newsletters, bulletins, or regular communications
• Sharing verified emergency information during disasters
• Connecting community members with response and recovery resources
• Serving as a trusted source of information for the people they already reach

Participation can be as simple or as involved as each organization chooses. Some partners may host trainings or community events, while others may share social media posts, display flyers, include preparedness information in existing outreach, or help direct residents to trusted local and state resources.
