Deadline for Governor’s Response and Recovery Fund is Approaching

TEMA Reminds Eligible Entities to Apply by Saturday, May 31

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Today, Tennessee Emergency Management Agency reminded eligible applicants to apply for the Governor’s Response and Recovery Fund (GRRF) on the TEMA website by Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. CT. 

The GRRF is a $100 million program established to provide innovative assistance for unmet disaster recovery needs. The initial round of grant funding is being offered to support local governments, non-profit organizations, businesses, farmers, and forest landowners in Carter, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Sevier, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington counties. 

Eligibility and Application Process for the Initial Round 

  • Who Can Apply: Local governments, non-profit organizations, businesses, farmers, and forest landowners in Carter, Claiborne, Cocke, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Sevier, Sullivan, Unicoi, and Washington counties.
  • How to Apply: Eligible applicants will need to submit an online application found on the TEMA website. Applicants are required to provide supporting documentation as part of the application.
