Announcement of Initial Public Notice

A public notice has been posted to the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Tennessee    Emergency Management Agency websites. To help share this information with the public, please use the following links and information on your websites or in your coverage of the severe storms, straight-line winds, and flooding that occurred in Tennessee May 27-28, 2017.

The public notice is posted at https://www.fema.gov/disaster/4320/notices and www.tn.gov/tema. A copy of the public notice is also attached.

This public notice addresses the agency’s intention to reimburse eligible applicants for costs to repair or
replace facilities damaged by severe storms, straight-line winds and associated flooding in the
following Tennessee counties: Blount, Cumberland, Fayette, Jackson, Jefferson, Knox, Loudon,   Morgan, Putnam, Rhea, Roane, Sevier, Shelby, and Smith. This notice describes proposed activities that may affect historic properties and activities and critical actions that may affect wetlands and floodplains.

This may be the only public notice given regarding these FEMA actions. Questions should be directed to FEMA-R4EHP@fema.dhs.gov. Comments should be sent in writing to Chelsea Klein, Senior Environmental Protection Specialist, at Federal Emergency Management Agency, Region IV Office, 3003 Chamblee Tucker Road, Atlanta, GA 30341, within 15 days of the date of this notice.
