Free Webinar August 25: Tax Resources for Your Business

NASHVILLE - The Department of Revenue will host a free webinar on Tennessee Tax Resources for Your Business on Tuesday, August 25, at 9 a.m. Central time.

During this webinar, Department of Revenue staff will walk through key tax resources that can support your business. Our team will also cover the basics of sales tax, business tax, and franchise and excise tax in short, easy segments and highlight tools such as tax manuals, past webinars, return previews, and the department’s online help center.

The Department of Revenue is responsible for administering state tax laws and motor vehicle title and registration laws, and for collecting the taxes and fees associated with those laws. The department collects about 87 percent of the total state revenue. During the 2025 fiscal year, it collected $21 billion in state taxes and fees and more than $5 billion in local taxes and fees.
