Under the provisions of Tennessee Public Chapter 810 (Senate Bill 2368/House Bill 2433) of the 109 th General Assembly, the State of Tennessee entered into the Physical Therapy Licensure Compact ("the Compact") with several other states. The purpose of the Compact is to facilitate the interstate practice of physical therapy by, among other things, providing for the mutual recognition of other member states licenses, thereby enhancing the States' ability to protect the public's health and safety.
