Becoming an active state in the Counseling Compact requires significant planning and careful implementation. Tennessee is working diligently to ensure that counselors and the public have a seamless, secure, and reliable experience once the Compact is live. At this time, Tennessee does not have an anticipated start date to be actively participating in the compact. 

_{NOTICE OF COUNSELING COMPACT PROPOSED RULEMAKING}

The Executive Committee has approved Draft Rules to be posted for public comment.  The public comment period begins today, August 7, 2025, and ends on September 9, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. MT., unless a public hearing is specifically requested.  The draft rules and information on how to provide public comment are found on the website at: https://counselingcompact.org/compact-commission/rulemaking/.
