• The Safe Start Center, a National Resource Center for Children’s Exposure to Violence has developed a tip sheet on Trauma-informed Care for Children Exposed to Violence: Tips For Agencies Working with Immigrant Families. The tip sheet provides helpful guidance on trauma-informed approaches to providing services to children and families that have been exposed to violence in their home countries and is specifically geared toward community organizations and local government agencies working with immigrant families. Online Tool: The “Does It Run in the Family?” tool gives the ‘why’ and ‘how’ behind collecting family health history information, tips for talking to family members, examples of conditions that can run in the family, and hints for health.
