Immunization Coverage Rate Dashboards
Annual report data
This link will take you to data visualizations for our 24-Month Old Immunization Status and Kindergarten Immunization Compliance reports. These reports utilize TennIIS data at the on-set but then undergo additional manual review of immunization records by public health professionals in an attempt to achieve as complete of an immunization record as possible. With the additional information added by manual review these datasets can be considered representative of the true immunization status of Tennesseans and can be used to draw comparisons against national objectives like Healthy People 2030.
TennIIS reported data
This link will take you to data visualizations generated from our IIS that are intended to be a continuation or extension of the CDC VaxView series. Data reported in these dashboards are a product of information reported to the Tennessee Immunization Information System (TennIIS). Immunization reporting to TennIIS is mandatory for all federally-funded vaccines (Vaccine For Children, 317, COVID, and MPX). All other reporting into the system is voluntary and patients must opt-out of the system if they wish not to participate. Due to the lack of reporting by some providers in Tennessee coverage rates derived using TennIIS data may vary geographically and demographically depending on provider participation with TennIIS. These datasets can NOT be considered representative of the true immunization status of Tennesseans and should NOT be used draw direct comparisons against comprehensive objectives. Instead, this information should be used to draw comparisons to like populations, to assess trends over time, or to measure the impact of public health interventions.
