Public Hearing for Tennessee Rare Plant List Revisions

The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) Division of Natural Areas (DNA) is proposing to change the status of species on the Tennessee Rare Plant List.

Based on recommendations by the Tennessee Rare Plant Scientific Advisory Committee proposed changes to the status of rare plants include elevating the status of both Rhynchospora inexpansa and Asclepias hirtella from Special Concern to Threatened.
