Office of Environmental Stewardship

Effective August 1, the Office of Sustainable Practices will become the Office of Environmental Stewardship. The expanded office will absorb TDEC’s Used Oil and Household Hazardous Waste programs and establish a new Office of Cooperative Marketing for recyclables. The alignment strengthens TDEC’s stakeholder-focused support for waste diversion and recycling across Tennessee while maintaining its commitment to advancing sustainability through stakeholder engagement and regulatory, technical, and financial support.
