Middle Tennessee CRC Holding Career Fairs

Tuesday, April 17, 2018 | 10:38am

NASHVILLE – In an effort to assist the offender population of Middle Tennessee, the area Day Reporting and Community Resource Centers (DRC/CRC) will be holding two career and resource fairs.  According to Richard A. Boyd, Director of the Murfreesboro DRC/CRC, “Finding and securing a job is an incredible hurdle that offenders and those with criminal records face.”  Andreka Driver, Director of the Nashville DRC/CRC, goes on to add, “Without stable employment, they are at risk of returning to criminal activity. By helping them obtain stable employment we’re helping them become successful, productive citizens.”

Employers will be present to help individuals with a criminal record bridge the gap and find gainful employment.  In addition, representatives from post-secondary education will be on hand to assist former felons with creating paths to higher education and finding available funding to help ensure their success.

Offenders currently serving on probation or parole, as well as ex-felons, are encouraged to attend the event.  There are a few spaces left for employers to take part in the career fair.  If interested, please call 615-907-4525.

The first will be held at the Nashville DRC/CRC.

Date:              Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
