The execution is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. (CDT) on May 21, 2026.

Wartburg, Tenn. – TDOC will host a Rapid Hire Event on April 17–18 in Wartburg for those interested in beginning a career as a correctional officer at the Morgan County Correctional Complex — a role centered on service, responsibility, and protecting the people of Tennessee.

The Tennessee Department of Correction (TDOC) will host a Rapid Hire Event on Friday, March 27, for individuals interested in starting a career as a correctional officer at the Northwest Correctional Complex. The event will be held at Rapid Care, located in Dyersburg.

Community members will have the opportunity to connect with employers and vital support services during two upcoming Reentry Resource Fairs hosted at local Community Resource Centers on Thursday, March 19. The events will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in Nashville and 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Murfreesboro.

The inmate responsible has been identified, and the facility has been placed on lockdown. This is an ongoing investigation, and additional information will be provided as it becomes available.

Pikeville, Tenn. – Nineteen inmates at the Bledsoe County Correctional Complex earned their associate’s degrees from Chattanooga State Community College in December.
