Approved Training Media and Books
Starting in the third year of approval, parents have the opportunity to complete elective training hours through approved training media by reading books or watching movies.
Parents can receive 2 credit hours for each approved book they read and 1 credit hour for watching each approved movie (no more than one credit hour per year will be awarded for approved videos). A maximum of 3 credit hours per year can be obtained by completing approved media. Complete information for foster parent training requirements can be found here.
