The Insurance Division regulates insurance companies, producers, pharmacy benefits managers, public adjusters, captives, and other insurance-related entities under Tennessee law and administrative rules.

The Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance (the “Department”) intends to submit an application to amend Tennessee’s essential health benefit (EHB) benchmark plan pursuant to 45 C.F.R. § 156.111. The full public notice and actuarial report are available for review. In this application, the Department will request to add detransition procedures to the state EHB benchmark plan. Any interested party may submit comments to the Department via email to TDCI.EHB@tn.gov. Comments will be accepted through June 18, 2026. Once the public comment period closes, the Department will review any submitted comments and submit the final application to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services shortly thereafter.
