ATLANTA – Homeowners and renters in Davidson, Putnam and Wilson counties, Tennessee, may now apply for disaster assistance for uninsured and underinsured damage and losses resulting from the March 3 severe storms, straight line winds and tornadoes.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee asked President Donald Trump today to expedite declaring a major disaster in Tennessee so federal recovery assistance can be made available to counties cleaning up as a result of the deadly tornado and severe weather in the state on March 3, 2020.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Tennessee's Severe Weather Awareness Week is Feb. 23, to Feb. 29, 2020, and the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency (TEMA), Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance (TDCI), and Tennessee Department of Health (TDH) are using this week to promote preparedness to Tennesseans.

NASHVILLE - February is National Earthquake Awareness Month, and the Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance (TDCI) joins the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency to remind consumers that earthquake insurance can lower consumers’ financial burden in the event of a devastating earthquake.

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) hereby gives notice to the public of its intent to reimburse eligible applicants for eligible costs to repair or replace facilities damaged by severe storms, straight-line winds, that occurred during the incident period that began on October 26, 2019. This notice applies to the Public Assistance (PA) and Hazard Mitigation Grant (HMGP) programs implemented under the authority of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act, 42 U.S.C. § 5121-5207.
