Bringing Safety to the Community
Weather Radios Distributed in Maury CountyCars started lining up at 5:30 a.m. For many families, access to resources they were waiting for would make a meaningful difference, especially during challenging times.
“We know that times have been tough, grocery bills are high, and families have been struggling,” said Shelly Sasson, Executive Director for The Well Outreach.
Last month, our team had the privilege of joining Shelly and The Well at one of their mobile food pantries in Maury County. As dozens of volunteers prepared the 25,000 pounds of food for distribution, we unpacked something for those waiting, too - weather radios, an essential, lifesaving tool during severe weather.
Maury County residents know firsthand how quickly storms can turn dangerous, that’s why weather radios are so critical. These devices work even when the power is out or cell towers go down, ensuring you receive emergency alerts when every second matters. With no subscription required, battery backup, and reliable NOAA weather alerts, they provide peace of mind in any storm.
We’re grateful to The Well Outreach for their incredible work in supporting the community and for helping keep residents safe and informed. Together, we are stronger and more prepared.
