CLAY AND OVERTON COUNTY SR-111 Resurfacing in Overton County from the Putnam County line to north of SR-293 and on SR-52 from west of Poor House Road in Clay County to west of Robbins Lane in Overton County: The contractor is scheduled to begin paving operations on 09/04/19. During this work, the contractor will have lane closures and will use flaggers to facilitate traffic flow through the work zone. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and watch for construction equipment in the roadway. Estimated project completion date is September 2019.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY I-40 Construction of a truck climbing lane EB near MM 339, including grading, drainage, and paving: Construction signs, guardrail (westbound), and portable barrier rail (eastbound) have been installed. The contractor has begun grade work in the median behind portable barrier rail. Motorists are encouraged to slow down, use caution, and be aware of construction personnel in the work zone and equipment that will entering and exiting the roadway. Estimated project completion date is June 2020.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY TDOT Maintenance on I-40 in both directions from MM 313 to MM 338: TDOT crews will be performing patching operations in both directions, beginning with closing the left lane in each direction. Motorists are advised to use caution and be alert to all construction signage while traveling through the work zone. The work will be performed under nightly lane closures between 8 PM and 6 AM. The project is scheduled to begin 09/08/19 and be completed by 09/20/19.
CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-1 (US-70) Emergency slope stabilization near LM 26.6: Construction signs, portable barrier rail, and temporary traffic signals have been installed. SR-1 (US-70) will be reduced to one lane between Godsey Road and Renegade Mountain Parkway while slope stabilization activities are in process. Motorists are encouraged to exercise caution as they drive through the work zone. Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-1 (US-70) Resurfacing from east of Pomona Road (LM 8.89) to west of SR-24 (US-70N) (LM 13) and on SR-28 (US-127) from south of Sawmill Road (LM 8.9) to north of SR-392 (LM 12.74) and on SR-392 from north of Old Mail Road (LM 1.9) to SR-28 (US-127) (LM 2.78): Construction signs have been installed. Paving is complete on SR-1 (US-70S) and SR-392 (Miller Avenue). Remaining work includes the installation of permanent pavement markings, rumble stripes, and shoulder stone. The contractor will be paving on SR-28 (US-127). New traffic pattern: The center turn lane has been extended from Brookhaven subdivision south to Three Mile Creek. Flaggers will be used for temporary lane closures. Motorists should expect delays during the ongoing paving activities and should be alert for construction personnel/equipment working on the roadway. Estimated project completion date is September 2019.

CUMBERLAND COUNTY SR-101 (Peavine Road) Grading, drainage, and paving from Firetower Road to Westchester/Catoosa Boulevard: As grade work progresses, motorists should be alert for shifts in traffic patterns to allow for construction activities. The posted speed limit has been reduced from 45 MPH to 35 MPH within the work zone. Temporary lane closures and traffic stoppages may be needed to support ongoing work. Lane and/or road closures may be needed within Fairfield Glade to allow installation of storm drain and relocation of utilities. Motorists should reduce speeds on Peavine Road and be alert for construction personnel/equipment entering and exiting the roadway. Estimated project completion date is November 2020.

FENTRESS COUNTY Rotten Fork Road over Rotten Fork of the Wolf River Bridge Replacement: The contractor is currently working on new bridge at Rotten Fork Road at LM 0.135. Rotten Fork Road remains open to traffic while the new bridge is being constructed. Motorists are advised to use caution and watch for construction equipment adjacent to roadway. FENTRESS AND OVERTON COUNTY SR-85 Emergency slide repairs at various locations: The roadway is closed from LM 18.4 to LM 22.4 in Overton county. SR-85 is also closed in Fentress County between LM 5.75 and 8.00. The contractor is continuing work on this contract in the two areas listed where the roadway is closed. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and seek alternate routes. Estimated project completion date is January 2020.

JACKSON COUNTY TDOT Bridge Maintenance on SR-151 (HUDSON CREEK HWY.) in both directions from LM 3.5 to LM 3.5: TDOT Bridge Maintenance will be repairing the bridge over Hudson Creek on Hudson Creek Hwy. (SR-151 at LM 3.5). This work will take place on 09/04/19 to 09/05/19 from 9 AM to 4 PM. Traffic control will be in place at this time.
JACKSON COUNTY Utility Work on SR-56 (JENNINGS CREEK HWY.) in both directions from LM 23.57 to LM 24.38: Mobile lane closures for utility work will occur on Jennings Creek Hwy between Hwy 151 and Ward Fork Road. Signage and flaggers will be present during this work. Motorists should use caution. Work will take place from 08/19/19 through 09/13/19 between 9AM and 3PM.
JACKSON COUNTY SR-53 Resurfacing from the Smith County line (LM 0) to north of New Salem Road (LM 9.02), including repair of the bridge over Flynn's Creek (LM 7.84): The contractor is scheduled to be on site intermittently performing work on punch list items. Motorists are encouraged to use caution when traveling through the work zone. Estimated project completion date is September 2019.

JACKSON AND PUTNAM COUNTY SR-53 Resurfacing in Jackson County from north of SR-135 to the Clay County line and on SR-56 from north of US-70N (SR-24) in Putnam County to north of Old Creek Road in Jackson County: The contractor has completed paving operations and is scheduled to be on site intermittently performing work on punch list items. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and watch for construction equipment in the roadway. Estimated project completion date is September 2019.

OVERTON COUNTY SR-111 Miscellaneous safety improvements at the intersections of SR-293 (LM 3.1 and LM 3.2): The contractor currently has SR-111 from the LM 2.25 to the 3.75 reduced to one lane in each direction. This lane closure will remain in place until contract completion. In addition to the lane closure, the speed limit through the work zone has been reduced to 55 MPH to increase safety of the motoring public and the contractor's personnel. SR-293 is affected at the intersection of SR-111 with the median crossings being closed for the duration of the project. Motorists are encouraged to obey the 55 MPH speed limit and watch for construction operations adjacent to the roadway. During this report period, the contractor will be pacing traffic for placement of barrier rails. Estimated project completion date is October 2019.

OVERTON COUNTY SR-294 Bridge repair over Big Eagle Creek (LM 1.39): The contractor will install a temporary traffic signal system and will reduce the bridge to one lane to allow the work to be performed. A lane closure will be in effect through 06/15/20. Motorists are encouraged to use caution through the work zone and should be prepared to stop at the signal. RESTRICTIONS: No loads wider than 10 feet. Estimated project completion date is June 2020.

PUTNAM COUNTY I-40 near MM 296 Bridge repair on Rocky Point Road over I-40: Rocky Point Road bridge at LM 9.31 over I-40 is closed due to bridge repairs, and is scheduled to re-open November 2019. PUTNAM COUNTY Utility Work on SR-24 (NASHVILLE HWY.) in both directions from LM 8.64 to LM 10.03: Mobile lane closures for utility work will occur on Nashville Hwy between Maddux Ridge Road and 1st Avenue North. Signage and flaggers will be present during this work. Motorists are encouraged to use caution in this area. Work will take place from 09/03/19 through 09/10/19 between 8 AM and 3 PM.
PUTNAM COUNTY Utility Work on SR-84 (LIVINGSTON HWY.) in both directions from LM 10.03 to LM 13.37: Mobile lane closures for utility work will occur on Livingston Hwy between Woodcliff Road and Stamp Shady Grove Road. Trucks with warning lights, signage and flaggers will be present during this work. Motorists are encouraged to use caution in this area. Work will take place from 08/15/19 through 10/14/19 between 8 AM and 3 PM.
PUTNAM COUNTY SR-136 Resurfacing from US-70N (SR-24) (LM 4.15) to north of Whiteaker Springs Road (LM 7): Work will be performed on existing sidewalks and concrete curb ramps. This will result in lane closures each night on SR-136 between the hours of 7 PM and 6 AM. Motorists should use caution and be prepared for slowed traffic when traveling through the workzone. Estimated project completion date is June 2020.

WHITE COUNTY SR-1 (US-70) Repair of the bridge over the Calfkiller River (LM 9.35) in Sparta: The Calfkiller Bridge in Sparta will be transitioning to the second of three phases of lane closures. These phases will affect between Wilson Street and Church Street. The first phase will restrict the west bound traffic to one lane, while retaining the left turn lane and two lanes of traffic in the east bound direction. The second phase will reduce both eastbound and westbound to one lane in each direction; work will occur in the middle of the bridge. Motorists are advised to use caution and be alert to all construction signage while traveling through the work zone. Estimated project completion date is September 2019.

BLEDSOE AND SEQUATCHIE COUNTY SR-8 (US-127) from SR-28 (LM 14.9) to SR-111 then SR-28 (US-127) to south of Old York Hwy North (LM 7.9), SR-8 (US-127) from SR-28 (US-127)(LM 14.9) to SR-111 (LM 17.6), and SR-30 from SR-28 (US-127)(LM 10.3) to near Cherokee Ridge Road (LM 13.3) resurfacing: During construction, motorists are encouraged to use caution and watch for construction equipment and personnel in the roadway. The contractor will be working on the sidewalks through the downtown area. Pedestrians are encouraged to use caution when walking in the area and avoid the areas of construction if at all possible. Beginning Sunday, the contractor will be working from 6 pm CST to 6 am CST. The road will be reduced to one lane controlled by a flagging operation. FRANKLIN AND MARION COUNTY SR-156 Resurfacing from SR-15 (US-41A) (LM 0.0) in Franklin County to the Franklin County line (LM 2.9) in Marion County, including intersection improvements at Midway Road in Franklin County: The contractor will continue the milling process this week followed by the paving installation. There will be a flagging operation to control traffic. Estimated project completion date is November 2019.

MARION COUNTY TDOT Bridge Maintenance on I-24 eastbound from MM 159.7 to MM 161: Night time closures will occur in lane 1 on I-24 between MM159.7 and MM161 starting 09/09/19 at 7 PM and ending 09/13/19 at 4 AM each night. The slow lane will be closed for bridge maintenance.
MARION COUNTY Utility Work on SR-283 (ALVIN YORK HWY.) southbound from LM 5 to LM 5: Utility work on Alvin York Hwy will occur between Dempsey Road and Mt. Calvary Road. Signage and flaggers will be present during this work. Motorists are encouraged to use caution in this area and be aware of flaggers. Work will be take place on 09/11/19 between 8:30 AM and 3 PM.
MARION COUNTY SR-156 over Running Water Creek (LM 25.58) bridge rehabilitation: SR-156 will be reduced to one lane controlled by a traffic light for the duration of the project. HAMILTON COUNTY I-75 at I-24 Interchange Reconstruction: Crews may continue surveying at various locations throughout the interchange. Shoulders may be closed at these locations between 9 AM and 3 PM. A hauling operation will continue requiring a single left or right lane closure on I-24 EB at MM 185. Haul trucks will be entering and exiting the interstate at these locations. This lane closure will occur nightly between 9 PM and 6 AM.

HAMILTON COUNTY US-27 (I-124) widening from I-24/US-27 interchange to north of the Olgiati Bridge over the Tennessee River, including widening the Olgiati Bridge: Work on this project continues with activities occurring on the west side of southbound US-27. Motorists should be alert for construction vehicles entering and leaving the area along the access ramps for east and westbound M. L. King Boulevard. The speed limit for the access ramp is 35 MPH. In addition, the southbound ramp from W. Main St.to southbound US-27 has been temporarily closed and will remain so until further notice. Detours are posted. Motorists should pay close attention to the detour signage posted. The speed limit on US-27 in the construction zone remains 45 MPH. Weather permitting; the contractor may implement temporary lane/shoulder closures on weeknights between the hours of 7 PM and 6 AM. At least one lane will remain open in each direction on US-27. HAMILTON COUNTY TDOT Bridge Maintenance on SR-60 (STATE HWY. 60) in both directions from LM 0.84 to LM 0.84: TDOT Bridge Maintenance will be repairing a small culvert on Highway 60, (SR-60 at LM 9.84). This work will take place on Wednesday, 09/11/19 from 9 AM to 4 PM. Traffic control will be in place at this time.
HAMILTON COUNTY TDOT Maintenance on I-124 eastbound from MM 0.0 to MM 0.3: Lane closures will occur on 09/05/19 for slope mowing from 9 PM to 5 AM.
HAMILTON COUNTY TDOT Maintenance on SR-2 (LEE HWY.) southbound from LM 20.5 to LM 20.6: A paving operation will take place on 09/08/19 from 7 PM to 6 AM.
HAMILTON COUNTY Utility Work on SR-2 (LEE HWY.) southbound from LM 19.27 to LM 19.27: Utility work will occur at the intersection of Lee Hwy and Standifer Gap Road. Signage and flaggers will be present during this work. Motorists should use caution and be aware of flaggers. Work will be done on 09/11/19 between 9 AM and 2 PM.
HAMILTON COUNTY Utility Work on SR-58 (HWY. 58) westbound from LM 4.73 to LM 4.73: Utility work will occur on SR-58 between SR-153 NB on ramp and Murray Hill Drive, right hand turning lane. Arrow board and signage will be present during this work. Motorists are encouraged to use caution and be aware of flaggers. Work will be take place on 09/10/19 between 9 AM and 3 PM.
HAMILTON COUNTY SR-111 Repair of bridge over SR-29 (US-27): During this report period, the contractor will have one lane closed in each direction of SR-111 while performing bridge repairs. The contractor will also be closing one lane in each direction on SR-29 as it passes under SR-111. One lane in each direction shall remain open at all times. Tennessee Highway Patrol will be present to assist with traffic control. Estimated project completion date is October 2019.

The southbound lane will be closed as the maintenance contractor will be working on installing a soil nail retaining wall.

MCMINN COUNTY SR-30, Grading, drainage and paving on SR-30 from Jackson Street to east of Knight Road in Athens: Traffic along SR-30 is in its phase two configuration with all traffic on the former eastbound side, providing one lane in each direction plus turning lanes at critical intersections and businesses.
