TDOT launched the Work with Us – Move Over, Slow Down safety campaign in 2017 to help bring awareness to the importance of safety in work zones after we lost three workers in just eight months in 2016. In the fall of 2022, a bridge inspector was hit and killed on the job. A total of 113 workers have been killed in the line of duty since we began keeping records in 1948. We don't want to lose anymore.
Whether they’re patching potholes or helping someone change a flat tire, our employees deserve a safe place to work. It’s simple. Pay attention, slow down, and move over for all vehicles with flashing lights.
