District 47 - West TN - Northern

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 104: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of a bridge on SR 104 over Grassy Hollow Creek. Roadway is CLOSED for duration of project.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 423: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete I-beam bridge on SR 423 over Clear Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

Restrictions: Monday, February 12, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in with a 10’ lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-3/US-51: Repair of bridges over South Fork Forked Deer River. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone. Traffic is reduced to one lane on US 51 (SR 3) in both north and southbound directions, from LM 24.73 to LM 25.00 in Lauderdale County and LM 0.00 to LM 0.40 in Dyer County. SR-3/US-51 northbound traffic is then shifted to the southbound lanes in the crossover areas. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 portion of the project.

Restrictions: There is a 12’ 10” lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20 (US 412): Repair of bridges over North Fork Forked Deer River. *Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20 (US 412): Repair of bridges over Lewis Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

On Monday, May 7, SR 20 was shifted into the westbound direction from LM 2.16 to LM 2.74 for bridge repair. Construction signs and message boards are in use.

Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: The grading, drainage, construction of bridges, retaining wall and paving on SR 54 from near Rison Street to near Smith Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway. *Speed limit has been reduced to 35MPH.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-76: : A resurfacing project on US 79 (SR 76) from West Antioch Road to near the Tennessee River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-78: Construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee bridge on SR 78 over drainage ditch including grading, drainage, and paving will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

OBION COUNTY, Future I-69: Grading, drainage, construction of eight bridges on future I-69 from south of US 51 (SR 3) to south of US 45W (SR 5) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 (SR 3) portion of the project. The inside southbound lane on SR 3 is closed to all traffic for installation of barrier rail.

Restrictions: Tuesday, June 13, 2017 SR 3 has a lane shift in the north and southbound directions. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with an 11’ 6” lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, SR-5: A resurfacing project on SR 5 from US 51 (SR 3) to the Kentucky State line will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

OBION COUNTY, SR-21: A resurfacing project on SR 21 from SR 183 to US 51 (SR 3) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

OBION COUNTY, SR-184: A resurfacing project on SR 184 from SR 21 to Church Street will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

TDOT Region IV Random Retracing Contract: A retracing project in Shelby Co. on various routes will cause possible lane closures for the duration of project.

District 48 - West TN – Middle/Southern

CHESTER/MCNAIRY COUNTIES, SR-22A; A resurfacing project on SR 22A in McNairy County through Chester County to the Henderson County line will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

CROCKETT COUNTY, SR-76: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of bridges on

SR 76 over Cypress Creek and overflow. On February 7, 2018, a traffic signal system is being utilized.

Restriction: There is an 11’ width restriction in place. Traffic reduced to one lane.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR 69:  Bridge repair over Lick Creek (LM 36.56) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

Wednesday, August 1, through Wednesday, August 8: There are no scheduled lane closures.

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-100: Intersection improvements, including the grading, drainage and paving SR 100 at the intersection of SR 138 (LM 11.74) in Toone will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

HAYWOOD COUNTY-I-40:  Sunday, August 5, through Thursday, August 9, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be temporary inside and outside lane closures on I-40 east and westbound near Koko Rd to the SR 19 (Mercer Rd) ramp for milling and paving operations.

HAYWOOD COUNTY–SR-76: Construction of a concrete bulb tee beam bridge over the Hatchie River – Wednesday, May 3, 2017 SR 76 CLOSED approx. 1 mile south of the I-40/Exit 56 interchange for removal of the truss bridge. *Local traffic will have access up to the bridge. An interstate detour is posted at Exit 56 and Exit 52 (Stanton/KoKo Road).

HENDERSON COUNTY, SR-22: The resurfacing on SR-22 from near Bud Crockett Drive (LM 16.25) to I-40 will have intermittent lane closures daily.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 (US 45 Bypass) and I-40: Interchange improvements on SR 186 (US 45) north and southbound from the I-40 ramps to Old Hickory Blvd for paving and construction of retaining walls.  Widening of I-40 from just east of Exit 79 to just east of Exit 82.

Friday, August 3, 8:00 p.m.  -  Saturday, August 4, 3:00 p.m. AND

Saturday, August 4, 8:00 p.m. – Sunday, August 5, 3:00 p.m.

·         SR 186 (US45 By-Pass) will be CLOSED at the I-40 interchange. This closure is to allow for paving, striping, and signal relocation to transition traffic onto the new bridges.

Saturday, August 4, 5:00 a.m. – NOON

·         I-40 eastbound will have the right lane closed at Exit 82 for removal of an overhead sign.

Saturday, August 4, 5:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.

·         I-40 westbound between mile markers 82-80 will have intermittent lane closures for construction activities.

LOOK AHEAD:

Friday, August 10, 8:00 p.m. through, Monday August 13, 6:00 a.m.: Close and detour I-40 east and west bound onto existing ramps at Exit 80 (US 45 By-Pass). Close and detour US 45 By-Pass south and north bound at interchange. To allow for demolition of the old bridge.  Weather Permitting.

Friday, August 17, 8:00 p.m. through, Monday, August 20, 6:00 a.m.: Close and detour I-40 east and west bound onto existing ramps at Exit 80 (US 45 By-Pass). Close and detour US 45 By-Pass south and north bound at interchange. To allow for demolition of the old bridge.  Weather Permitting.

Friday, August 24, 8:00 p.m. through, Monday August 27, 6:00 a.m.: Close and detour I-40 east and west bound onto existing ramps at Exit 80 (US 45 By-Pass). Close and detour US 45 By-Pass south and north bound at interchange. To allow for demolition of the old bridge.  Weather Permitting.

MADISON COUNTY, I-40: Resurfacing from near US 70 (SR 1) mile marker 87 to Henderson County Line mile marker 95.

Sunday, August 5, through Thursday, August 9, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be temporary inside and outside lane closures on I-40 east and westbound from mile marker 87 to the Henderson County Line for placement of pavement markings and installation of snowplowable markers.

MADISON COUNTY, SR-5: The resurfacing on US 45 (SR5) from SR43 (LM 23.11) to the Gibson County line (LM 26.32) will have intermittent lane closures daily for resurfacing work.

MCNAIRY COUNTY, SR-15 (US 64): A resurfacing project on US 64 (SR 15) from US 45 (SR 5) to Baker Road will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

TDOT MAINTENANCE:

Wednesday, August 1, through Wednesday, August 8, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to repair pavement on an as needed basis.

Sunday, August 5, through Thursday, August 9, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be nighttime closures east and westbound on I-40 from MM 82-87 for milling and paving operations.

District 49 - West TN – Southwest

FAYETTE COUNTY, US 70 (US 79, SR-1): A bridge repair project on SR 1 over branch will result in lane closures in both directions daily.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-59 over I-40: A bridge repair project on US 70 (SR 79, SR 1) over branch and on SR 59 over I-40.

Wednesday, August 1 until Mid-Summer: I-40 east and westbound at Exit 35 will have inside and outside shoulder closures *Speed limit on I-40 has been reduced to 60 MPH.

Wednesday, August 1 through Tuesday, August 7, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be lane closures on I-40 west and eastbound directions at Exit 35 (SR 59) for removing overhang formwork and median work. One lane will remain open in both directions. *Speed limit is reduced to 50 MPH on I-40 during closure. Weather Permitting.

FAYETTE COUNTY, SR-194: A resurfacing project on SR 194 from SR 57 to Whispering Meadows Drive will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY – Light Installation:

Thursday, August 2, through Wednesday, August 8, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-40 eastbound on the Mississippi River Bridge. There will be two (2) lanes CLOSED with one lane open to allow for light installation. Weather permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 – Pothole Repair:

Thursday, August 2, and Friday August 3, 9:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-40  east and westbound beginning at MM 0.00   through MM 7.00 to allow for pothole repair. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-55 – Drain Cleaning:

Monday August 6, through Friday, August 10, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-55 north and southbound from the Mississippi State line to the Arkansas State Line beginning at MM 0.00 through MM 13.00 to allow for drain cleaning. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 MemFix 4: Replacement of Norfolk Southern, SR 57 east and westbound bridges, and repair of Park Avenue bridge over I-240.

I-240: There are shoulder closures in the westbound direction of I-240 east/west between Quince and Walnut Grove. The lane closures along I-240 east and westbound between Quince and Walnut Grove will stay in place throughout the project.

The NIGHTLY closures are scheduled as follows:

·         Monday, July 30 through Thursday, August 2, each night from 9:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m. – There will be lane closures on eastbound I-240. One lane will remain open at all times. The exit ramp from eastbound I-240 to Poplar Ave will be CLOSED.

SHELBY COUNTY, Eastmoreland over I-240 (LM 0.36) and on U.S. 51 (SR 3) over the Wolf River (LM 15.25): Bridge repair will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

Wednesday, August 1 until Mid-Summer:  There will be INTERMITTENT lane closures on US 51

(SR 3) at the Wolf River to perform bridge deck repair work. Weather Permitting.

Wednesday, August 1 until Mid-Summer:  The bridge over I-240 at Eastmoreland Avenue will be CLOSED to perform bridge deck repair work. Detour will be provided.  Weather permitting.

Friday, August 3, 8:00 p.m. through Monday, August 6, 6:00 a.m.: Close two lanes on I-240 north and southbound with 1 lane to remain open, to make repairs to the Eastmoreland Bridge. THP to assist.  Weather permitting.

Friday, August 3, 8:00 p.m. through Monday, August 6, 6:00 a.m.:  Close the Union Ave ramps I-240 northbound and southbound to make repairs to the Eastmoreland Bridge.  Detour will be provided.  THP to assist.  Weather permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1:

Wednesday, August 1 through Tuesday, August 7: A bridge repair project on SR 1 will cause the bridge to be CLOSED to one lane of traffic at the Loosahatchie River Overflow (LM 29.97). The lane closure will be controlled by a temporary traffic signal. 

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from

SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project.

On April 21, 2017, Old Covington Pike East access to/from SR 14 was permanently CLOSED.

*Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14: The grading, drainage, construction of concrete Bulb-Tee and I-beam bridges, signals and paving on SR 14 from east of Old Covington Pike to SR 385 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-57: Resurfacing on SR 57 from near I-240 to Val Verde.

Sunday, August 5, through Thursday, August 9, 7:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be INTERMITTENT closures with one lane to remain open on SR 57 east and westbound to allow for resurfacing and safety improvements. Weather Permitting. 

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-177: Resurfacing on SR 177 from near Raleigh LaGrange to Woodchase.

Sunday, August 5, through Thursday, August 9, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.: There will be INTERMITTENT closures with one lane to remain open on SR 177 (Germantown Rd.) north and southbound to allow for resurfacing and safety improvements. Weather Permitting. 

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-385: A bridge repair project on (SR 385) over Long Rd. (LM 10.48 and

LM 11.94).

Wednesday, August 1 until Mid-Summer: SR 385 east and westbound the right lane in each direction will be CLOSED to complete bridge work at Long Road. *Speed limit has been reduced to 45MPH.

Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction and lane shift.

TDOT District 49  MAINTENANCE:

Wednesday, August 1, through Wednesday, August 8, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures on all state routes and interstates for routine maintenance activities on an as needed basis.

TDOT District 49 On-Call Guardrail/Concrete Barrier Rail Repair:

Wednesday, August 1 through Tuesday, August 7, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.:  There will be night time lane closures on I-55, I-240, I-40 (Fayette and Shelby Counties), SR 385 (Shelby County), and SR 3 (Tipton County). One lane will be CLOSED to repair damaged guardrail. THP will assist with traffic control Weather Permitting

Thursday, August 2, through Wednesday, August 8, 9AM-3PM: There will be day time lane closures at the following various locations to repair damaged guardrail. If weather prohibits, the repairs will be performed on the next available day. Flagmen will be used where necessary. Weather Permitting.

  • Lauderdale Co., SR 209 eastbound and westbound, MM 0.0 – MM 19.0, various locations; One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used.
  • Lauderdale Co., SR 19 eastbound and westbound, MM 0.0 – MM 26.0, various locations; One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used.
  • Lauderdale Co., SR 371 northbound and southbound, MM 1.4; One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used.
  • Tipton Co., SR 3 northbound and southbound, MM 0.0 – MM 25.0, various locations; Shoulder closure ONLY. Flagmen will be used.

TIPTON COUNTY, SR-3 (US 51): A safety project on US 51 (SR 3) at Charles Place

Wednesday, August 1 through Friday, August 10: SR 3 northbound will have the left lane CLOSED and southbound will have the right lane CLOSED to complete turn lanes at Charles Place.

TIPTON COUNTY, SR-14: Resurfacing SR 14 from SR 59 to near SR 179 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

Saturday, August 11, 7:00 a. m.–6:00 p.m.: SR 384 north and southbound will be CLOSED to replace culverts between Hall Rd and Robert Johnson Rd. Weather permitting.
