Bridge Work in Jackson to Close Lanes

·         Sunday, April 8 from 5:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. crews will shift traffic up and over the I-40 east and westbound ramps at Exit 80 (US 45 Bypass) as well as close and detour US 45 Bypass south and northbound at the interchange to allow for steel erection of the US 45 By-Pass bridge over the interstate.

JACKSON, Tenn. – The Tennessee Department of Transportation contract crews will have major closures this weekend to begin placing steel bridge beams over the interstate. The upcoming closures are as follows:

·         Saturday, April 7, and Sunday, April 8, 5:00 a. m.-9:00 p. m.: Close and detour I-40 east and westbound onto existing ramps at Exit 80 (US 45 Bypass). Close and detour US 45 Bypass south and northbound at the interchange to allow for steel erection of the US 45 By-Pass bridge over the interstate.

All work is weather dependent and motorists are encouraged to seek alternate routes.
