District 47 - West TN - Northern

BENTON COUNTY, I-40 Truck Climbing Lane: BENTON COUNTY, I-40 Truck Climbing Lane: Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone. *Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 104: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of a bridge on

SR 104 over Mill Creek. Roadway is CLOSED for duration of project.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 423: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete I-beam bridge on

SR 423 over Clear Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

Restrictions: Monday, February 12, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in with a 10’ lane restriction.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20: Repair of bridges over North Fork Forked Deer River.

Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction.

*Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: The grading, drainage, construction of bridges, retaining wall and paving on SR 54 from near Rison Street to near Smith Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-78: Construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee bridge on SR 78 over drainage ditch including grading, drainage, and paving will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

Restrictions: Beginning Tuesday, August 1 through November 30, 2018, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 9’ lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, Future I-69: Grading, drainage, construction of eight bridges on future I-69 from south of US 51 (SR 3) to south of US 45W (SR 5) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 (SR 3) portion of the project. The inside southbound lane on SR 3 is closed to all traffic for installation of barrier rail.

Restrictions: Tuesday, June 13, SR 3 has a lane shift in the north and southbound directions. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’ 6” lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, SR-5: Installation of signals on US-45W (SR 5) at the intersection of Jackson Street in Union City.

District 48 - West TN – Middle/Southern

CROCKETT COUNTY, SR 76: The grading, drainage, paving and construction of bridges on

SR 76 over Cypress Creek and overflow. Beginning February 7, 2018, temporary signals will be utilized. Restriction: There will be a 12’ width restriction in place.

DECATUR COUNTY, SR 69:  Beginning February 7, 2018 there will be a lane closure on SR 69 to repair the bridge over Lick Creek. Temporary signals will be in use.

Restriction: There will be a 12’ width restriction in place.

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

Wednesday, February 7, through Wednesday, February 14: There are no scheduled closures.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128:  The grading, drainage, and paving on SR 128 from south of One Stop Drive to south of Opel Loop. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways

HAYWOOD COUNTY-SR-19 (Brownsville Bypass): A widening project on SR 19 from west of Windrow Road to SR 76 south of Brownsville will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY–SR-76: Construction of a concrete bulb tee beam bridge over the Hatchie River – Wednesday, May 3, 2017 SR 76 CLOSED approx. 1 mile south of the I-40/Exit 56 interchange for removal of the truss bridge.

*Local traffic will have access up to the bridge. An interstate detour will be posted at Exit 56 and Exit 52 (Stanton/KoKo Road).

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 (US45 Bypass) and I-40: Interchange improvements on SR-186 (US 45) north and southbound from the I-40 ramps (LM 2.83) to Old Hickory Blvd (LM 3.33) for paving and construction of retaining walls.  Widening of I-40 from just east of Exit 79 to just east of Exit 82.

District 49 - West TN - Southwest

FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway. Speed limit has been reduced to 60 MPH.

Friday, February 9, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-40 westbound (inside and outside) lanes beginning at MM 32.00 (close to SR 59) through MM 47.00 (Fayette County Line) to allow for pothole repair.  Weather Permitting.

FAYETTE COUNTY, US 70 (US 79, SR-1): A bridge repair project on SR 1 over branch will result in lane closures in both directions daily.

FAYETTE COUNTY- SR-59 over I-40: A bridge repair project on US-70 (SR 79, SR 1) over branch and on SR 59 over I-40.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Exit 1 to Exit 1A: Bridge repair project will cause possible lane closures on I-40 over the Mississippi River and 5 bridges over Wolf River, various ramps and city streets and railroad.

Friday, February 9, 7:00 p.m. through Monday, February 12, 5:00 a.m.: I-40 Eastbound (Coming from Arkansas) Exit 1 to Front St. will be CLOSED to replace expansion joint. Exit 1 to Riverside Drive will remain open. Weather Permitting.

Thursday, February 8, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-40 east and westbound outside lane beginning at MM 2.00 (Chelsea Rd.) through MM 5.00 (Hollywood Str.) to allow for pothole repair.  Weather Permitting. * Friday, February 9, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m. will serve as a backup date.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 MemFix 4: Replacement of Norfolk Southern, SR 57 east and westbound bridges, and repair of Park Avenue bridge over I-240.

 

I-240: There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 NB/SB between Quince and Walnut Grove.

The lane closures along I-240 east and westbound between Quince and Walnut Grove will stay in place throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, Eastmoreland over I-240 (L.M. 036) and on U.S. 51 (S.R. 3) over the Wolf River (L.M. 15.25): Bridge repair will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from

SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project.

On April 21, 2017, Old Covington Pike East access to/from SR 14 was permanently CLOSED.

*Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14: The grading, drainage, construction of concrete Bulb-Tee and I-beam bridges, signals and paving on SR 14 from east of Old Covington Pike to SR 385 will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-175Resurfacing on SR 175 from near Elvis Presley Blvd. to Swinnea.

TIPTON COUNTY, SR-3 (HWY 51) POTHOLE REPAIR:

Thursday, February 8, and Friday, February 9, 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on SR-3 (HWY 51) both directions (outside and inside) lane beginning at MM 16.00 (close to Holly Grove Rd.) through MM 19.00 (close to South Hall Rd.) to allow for pothole repair.  Weather Permitting.

Monday, February 12, through Wednesday, February 14, 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on SR-3 (HWY 51) both directions (outside and inside) lane beginning at MM 16.00 (close to Holly Grove Rd.) through MM 19.00 (close to South Hall Rd.) to allow for pothole repair.  Weather Permitting.

SHELBY and FAYETTE COUNTY, - SR-385 Sign Conversion for I-269:

Monday, February 12 and Tuesday, February 13, 8:00 p.m.–5:00 a.m.: There will be night time ramp closures at the following I-40/ I-269 interchange to update guardrail and install delineators. If weather prohibits, the repairs will be performed on the next available night. THP will assist with traffic control during night time closures. Weather Permitting.

  Monday, February 12, 8:00 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.:

•                     I-40 eastbound to I-269 northbound, ramp will be CLOSED.

•                     I-269 northbound to I-40 westbound, ramp will be CLOSED.

TDOT MAINTENANCE:

Wednesday, February 7, through Wednesday, February 14, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to repair pavement on an as needed basis.

·         I-240 eastbound “On” ramp from Madison Avenue, MM 30.2; One lane will be CLOSED.

·         I-55 northbound, MM 11.65; One lane will be CLOSED.
