District 47 - West TN - Northern

BENTON COUNTY, I-40 Truck Climbing Lane: Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway in a construction zone. *Speed limit is reduced to 60 MPH. Saturday, January 27, 5:00 a. m. through Sunday, January 28, 6:00 p. m.: There will be outside lane closures on I-40 westbound at mile marker 133 to remove concrete barrier rail. THP will assist with traffic control.

CARROLL COUNTY, SR 423: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete I-beam bridge on SR 423 over Clear Creek. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

DYER COUNTY, SR-20: Repair of bridges over North Fork Forked Deer River.
Restrictions: Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 12’ lane restriction.
*Speed limit has been reduced to 55 MPH.

HENRY COUNTY, SR-54: The grading, drainage, construction of bridges, retaining wall and paving on SR 54 from near Rison Street to near Smith Road. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.

LAKE COUNTY, SR-78: Construction of a concrete Bulb-Tee bridge on SR 78 over drainage ditch including grading, drainage, and paving will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.
Restrictions: Beginning Tuesday, August 1 through November 30, 2018, a traffic signal system is being utilized. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 9’ lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, Future I-69: Grading, drainage, construction of eight bridges on future I-69 from south of US 51 (SR 3) to south of US 45W (SR 5) will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. *Speed limit is reduced to 45 MPH through the US 51 (SR 3) portion of the project. The inside southbound lane on SR 3 is closed to all traffic for installation of barrier rail.
Restrictions: Tuesday, June 13, SR 3 has a lane shift in the north and southbound directions. Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction with a 11’ 6” lane restriction.

OBION COUNTY, SR-5: Installation of signals on US-45W (SR 5) at the intersection of Jackson Street in Union City.

District 48 - West TN – Middle/Southern
FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway.
Wednesday, January 24, through Wednesday, January 31: There are no scheduled closures.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128: A widening project on SR 128 from South of Opel Loop to US-64 (SR 15) in Savannah will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HARDIN COUNTY, SR-128:  The grading, drainage, and paving on SR 128 from south of One Stop Drive to south of Opel Loop. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways

HARDEMAN COUNTY, SR-100:  A bridge repair on SR-100 over branch at LM 4.34 will cause the roadway to be reduced to one lane with a temporary traffic signal. 

HAYWOOD COUNTY-SR-19 (Brownsville Bypass): A widening project on SR 19 from west of Windrow Road to SR 76 south of Brownsville will cause possible lane closures throughout the project. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway from the construction zones and also crossing the roadways.

HAYWOOD COUNTY–SR-76: Construction of a concrete bulb tee beam bridge over the Hatchie River – Wednesday, May 3, 2017 SR 76 CLOSED approx. 1 mile south of the I-40/Exit 56 interchange for removal of the truss bridge.
*Local traffic will have access up to the bridge. An interstate detour will be posted at Exit 56 and Exit 52 (Stanton/KoKo Road).

MADISON COUNTY, SR-186 (US45 Bypass) and I-40: Interchange improvements on SR-186 (US 45) north and southbound from the I-40 ramps (LM 2.83) to Old Hickory Blvd (LM 3.33) for paving and construction of retaining walls.  Widening of I-40 from just east of Exit 79 to just east of Exit 82. Wednesday, January 24, through Wednesday, January 31: There are no scheduled closures.

Wednesday, January 24, through Wednesday, January 31, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: There will be possible lane closures at various locations in Region IV in order to patch potholes on an as needed basis.

Thursday, January 25, 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.:  There will be lane closures on I-40 in Haywood County from mile marker 45-67 both east and westbound to repair potholes.

Friday, January 26, 9:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m.:  There will be lane closures on I-40 in Madison County from mile marker 68-95 both east and westbound to repair potholes.

Thursday, January 25, 8:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.:  There will be lane closures on I-40 in Madison County at mile marker 84 eastbound to patch the concrete bridge deck.

District 49 - West TN - Southwest
FAYETTE COUNTY, I-40: The grading, drainage, construction of a concrete bulb-tee bridge and paving on I-40 at the SR 196 (Hickory Withe Road) interchange. Motorists should watch for trucks entering and exiting the roadway. Speed limit has been reduced to 60 MPH.

 

FAYETTE COUNTY – I-40 Pothole Repair:
Thursday, January 25, 9AM–3PM: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-40 east and westbound (inside and outside) lanes beginning at mile marker 32 (close to SR 59) through mile marker 42 (Fayette/Haywood Co. Line.) to allow for pothole repair.  Weather Permitting.

* Friday, January 26, 9AM-3PM will serve as a backup date.

FAYETTE COUNTY, US 70 (US 79, SR-1): A bridge repair project on SR 1 over branch will result in lane closures in both directions daily.

FAYETTE COUNTY- SR-59 over I-40: A bridge repair project on US-70 (SR 79, SR 1) over branch and on SR 59 over I-40.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-40 at Exit 1 to Exit 1A: Bridge repair project will cause possible lane closures on I-40 over the Mississippi River and 5 bridges over Wolf River, various ramps and city streets and railroad.
Friday, January 26, 7:00 p.m. through Monday, January 29, 5:00 a.m.: Riverside Drive northbound ramp access to I-40 east and westbound will be CLOSED at Jefferson Avenue to replace the joints (This ramp carries traffic from Riverside Drive northbound to I-40 westbound into Arkansas). Detour routes will be along Front Street for Arkansas westbound traffic and Third Street for Tennessee eastbound traffic. Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY – I-40, I-240 and SR-385 Pothole Repair:
Thursday, January 25 and Friday, January 26, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-40 east and westbound outside lane beginning at mile marker 2 (Chelsea Rd.) through mile marker 5 (Hollywood Str.) to allow for pothole repair.  Weather Permitting.

* Monday, January 29, 9AM-3PM will serve as a backup date.

Thursday, January 25 and Friday, January 26, 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on SR 385 westbound outside lane beginning at mile marker 6 (Hacks Cross Rd.) through mile marker 12 (Byhalia Rd.) to allow for pothole repair.  Weather Permitting.

Thursday, January 25 and Friday, January 26, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-240 north and southbound outside lane beginning at Exit 26 – Norris Rd. through Exit 30 – Madison Ave. to allow for pothole repair.  Weather Permitting.

Monday, January 29 through Wednesday, January 31, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.: INTERMITTENT lane closures on I-240 north and southbound outside lane beginning at Exit 26 – Norris Rd. through Exit 30 – Madison Ave. to allow for pothole repair.  Weather Permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, I-240 MemFix 4: Replacement of Norfolk Southern, SR 57 east and westbound bridges, and repair of Park Avenue bridge over I-240.
I-240: There are shoulder closures in both directions of I-240 NB/SB between Quince and Walnut Grove.

The lane closures along I-240 east and westbound between Quince and Walnut Grove will stay in place throughout the project.

Wednesday, January 24 and Thursday, January 25, 9:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m.: There will be lane closures on I-240 east and westbound for removal/installation barrier rail. On Wednesday, the I-240 Eastbound exit to Poplar, Exit 15A-B will be CLOSED to set barrier rail. Detours to be provided. Weather prohibiting, closures will be moved to next available night.

Friday, January 26, 9:00 p.m. through Monday, January 29, 5:00 a.m.: There will be lane closures on I-240 east and westbound for removal/installation barrier rail. Weather prohibiting, closures will be moved to next available night.

Monday, January 29 and Tuesday, January 30, 9:00 p.m.-5:00 a.m.: There will be lane closures on I-240 eastbound and westbound for removal/installation barrier rail. Weather prohibiting, closures will be moved to next available night.

SHELBY COUNTY, Eastmoreland over I-240 (L.M. 036) and on U.S. 51 (S.R. 3) over the Wolf River (L.M. 15.25)
Saturday, January 27, 7:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m.:  There will be INTERMITTENT lane closures on US 51

(SR 3) at the Wolf River to allow the placement of traffic control.  Weather Permitting.

*Saturday, February 3, 7:00 a. m.-6:00 p. m.  will serve as a backup date.

Saturday, January 27 through Mid-Summer:  The bridge over I-240 at Eastmoreland Avenue will be CLOSED to perform the contracted bridge deck repair work.  Detour will be provided.  Weather permitting.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-1: Construction of a welded steel plate girder bridge on SR 1 over the Loosahatchie River will cause possible lane closures throughout the project.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-14 (Austin Peay Hwy): Construction on SR 14 for a widening project from SR 204 (Singleton Parkway) to east of Old Covington Pike. Shoulders are closed north and southbound. There will be possible temporary lane closures throughout the project.

On April 21, 2017, Old Covington Pike East access to/from SR 14 was permanently CLOSED.

*Speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH.

SHELBY COUNTY, SR-175–Resurfacing on SR 175 from near Elvis Presley Blvd. to Swinnea.

SHELBY and FAYETTE COUNTY, - SR 385 Sign Conversion for I-269

Wednesday, January 24, 9:00 a. m.-3:00 p. m.:  There will be day time lane closures at the following various locations for drilling footing, pouring concrete, and setting I-beam supports. If weather prohibits, the repairs will be performed on Thursday, January 25 and Friday, January, 26, 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Weather Permitting. 

Monday, January 29 through Tuesday, January 30, 8:00 p. m.–6:00 a. m.: There will be night time closures at the following various locations to allow drilling for soil samples for the proposed overhead sign structures. If weather prohibits, the repairs will be performed on Wednesday, January 31, 8:00 p. m.–6:00 a. m. THP will assist with traffic control during night time closures. Weather Permitting. 

Wednesday, January 24, 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.:

·         SR 193 eastbound, MM 1.0 – MM 1.4; One lane will be CLOSED. Flagmen will be used.

·         SR 1 eastbound, MM 26.8 – 27.0; One lane will be CLOSED.

·         SR 86 eastbound (US 72), MM 1.4 – MM 1.6; One lane will be CLOSED.

Monday, January 29 through Tuesday 30, January 30, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.:

·         I-269 northbound (SR 385), MM 31.2 – 31.4; One lane will be CLOSED.

·         I-40 eastbound, MM 22.6 – MM 22.8; One lane will be CLOSED.

Tuesday, January 30 through Wednesday, January 31, 8:00 p.m.-6:00 a.m.:

·         I-40 westbound, MM 27.0 – MM 26.8; One lane will be CLOSED.

·         I-269 southbound (SR 385), MM 33.6 – MM 33.4; One lane will be CLOSED.

·         Shelby County, I-40 EB and WB, MM 1C.45 – MM 24.2; various locations; One lane CLOSED.

·         Fayette County, I-40 EB and WB, MM 28.4 – 33.6; various locations; One lane CLOSED.

·         I-55 NB, MM 4.8 – MM 11.6; various locations; One lane will be Closed.

·         I-55 NB, MM 5.6; at I-55/I-240 interchange; the I-55 NB ramp to continue to St. Louis will be CLOSED.

·         I-240 EB and WB, MM 12.2 – MM 29.6; various locations; One lane will be CLOSED.
