SUBJECT:  Statement Regarding Non-Deposit Companies Affected by Hurricane Helene

The Tennessee Department of Financial Institutions (TDFI) recognizes the serious impact of Hurricane Helene on the customers and operations of many non-deposit companies in the affected areas. Given the substantial economic impact to both consumers and businesses, the TDFI encourages companies to work constructively with borrowers in communities affected by Hurricane Helene. As non-deposit licensees establish programs to support the recovery for citizens and communities, we would ask that licensees share those efforts with us so that we can factor those programs into our regulatory judgments.
