Tennessee drivers may pay fines and risk losing vehicle registration if they are not covered by an auto liability insurance policy or cannot provide other proof of financial responsibility under the law.
The Department of Revenue administers more than 100 specialty license plates to residents registering private motor vehicles. Please check with your local county clerk's office for plate availability.
Use our online application to personalize any standard passenger plate or certain specialty license plates for vehicles and motorcycles for a cost of $35. This fee is in addition to the regular state registration fee and any applicable county fees and/or specialty plate fees.
