Shelby County Resident Pleads "No Contest" to Attempted Tax Evasion
Monday, May 10, 2021 | 06:45pmLEBANON, Tenn. - Christopher DeStefanis, 69, pleaded “no contest” to one count of attempted tax evasion in a Wilson County Criminal Court last week. Judge Brody Kane sentenced DeStefanis to 11 months and 29 days probation for attempted tax evasion. A restitution hearing was set for a later date.

Revenue special agents arrested Potts, age 85, at his residence. Bond was set at $1,000.

Knoxville CPA Pleads Guilty to Tax Fraud
Friday, April 23, 2021 | 11:27amKNOXVILLE, Tenn. -The Special Investigations Section of the Tennessee Department of Revenue conducted the investigation that led to Todd Wilson Culpepper pleading guilty to one felony count of use tax evasion Culpepper, a certified public accountant, paid $9,170 in restitution to the Department of Revenue. He was sentenced to a one-year probation.
