-Approved specimen source: Ulcer material from margins of genital lesions, lymph node aspirates, pus, aspirates from buboes. -Material should be collected from the base of the ulcer with a swab. -Place swab in transport such as Amies or Amies with charcoal.
-Must be grown on Chocolate agar or Blood Agar Plates for Haemophilus ducreyi (BAHD) |
