About the Education to Employment Dashboard
The Education to Employment dashboards incorporate student outcome data from graduation years 2017- 2021, with employment data from federal fiscal year 2022, as aggregated within Tennessee's statewide longitudinal data system (SLDS). The dashboards provide insight into the state's high school and postsecondary graduates by instructional program area and their wages 1-year, 3- years, and 5-years after graduation, as reported by Tennessee's Unemployment Insurance wage record data.
The dashboards leverage data submitted to the SLDS from the Tennessee Higher Education Commission, Tennessee Independent Colleges and Universities Association, Tennessee Department of Education, Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development, and Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development.
Data from the SLDS may differ from the reports produced by these agencies due to distinct data processes and reporting requirements. Navigate to the Technical Notes Page for comprehensive definitions of data displayed in the dashboards. Key data definitions can also be viewed by selecting the information buttons (i icon) throughout the dashboard. A hover feature can be used to view additional data breakdowns throughout some of the dashboards and is indicated as a feature in the About the Dashboard question mark buttons (? icon).
