The 2024 Governor’s Environmental Stewardship Award winners were announced and will be formally recognized at an awards ceremony Oct. 18 in Franklin for their achievements and positive impact on the state’s natural resources and communities.

$21,017,000 in grants announced from the Local Parks and Recreation Fund (LPRF) for 27 communities across the state.

The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation announced $332,953 in grants for Education and Outreach and Organics Management for projects to help reduce landfill waste and increase recycling education in Tennessee.
