Personal Outcome Measures

The Personal Outcome Measures (POMs) are a list of 21 life areas identified as being important to all people. CQL has developed and organized these measures into a manual, complete with probe questions, value statements, etc. The Accreditation team offers free 4- day Personal Outcome Measures workshop training which will teach others how to use the POM Manual for planning, monitoring and implementing Person- Centered Support Plans. There is a manual specifically created for adults and another available for children and youth.

Basic Assurances

Basic Assurances (BA’s) are a compilation of requirements for an organization’s systems and practices, that are essential, fundamental and non- negotiable for all service and support providers. There are 10 Basic Assurances Factors, with indicators and probe questions within each factor. The Basic Assurances review tool was created by the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL), utilized for reviewing organizations and network systems seeking Accreditation from CQL. The Basic Assurances reviews allow us to gain the person’s perspective on how the system and practice are working for and in their lives.
