NASHVILLE – The Debra K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center (DJRC), the primary women’s prison in Tennessee, will be holding a hiring event on Monday, October 25, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with the hope of filling their roughly 80 vacant positions. Available positions range from correctional officer to counselor to administrative support.

Parker began his career as a correctional officer and rose through the ranks to Commissioner following his initial appointment by former Governor Bill Haslam in 2016 and re-appointment by Governor Bill Lee in 2019.

Nashville – Death row inmate Steven L. Hugueley has passed away of apparent natural causes. Hugueley, 53, was pronounced deceased at Riverbend Maximum Security Institution at 2:35am Friday, July 16.
