National Guard

Available to: Officers, enlisted members and retired/honorably discharged members of the Tennessee National Guard, along with their spouses.

Documentation Required: County clerks have eligibility lists. Guard members not listed must provide documentation with name, social security number and proof of good standing to qualify for plate. Retired and honorably discharged applicants must provide current and valid armed forces of Tennessee card stating that status.

Cost:

  • Active officers/spouses* - $26.50 annual fee.
  • Enlisted members and spouses* - None for first plate; Annual fee of $26.50.
  • Retired and honorably discharged members/spouses - $26.50 annual fee (initial fee is $29.80).

*NOTE: Officer plates issued in September only and expire September 30 each year.
