Residential Frame Construction (4)
Overview: This course prepares the student to develop a better understanding of modern residential building construction methods as they relate to all aspects of typical construction framing which will enable the student to make well informed decisions during plans review, inspections that will enhance safety and effectiveness. In addition to the coverage of the requirements found in Chapters 3-9 of the 2018 International Residential Code, instruction will give primary attention to wind, snow, and seismic loads and the changes in these requirements in recent code editions.
