Tiny Houses in Tennessee (2)
Overview: This course provides an overview of the design, construction, and inspection considerations associated with tiny houses used as permanent dwellings. The course examines how the IRC addresses tiny houses through appendix Q (Tiny Houses), which provides specialized provisions for dwellings. The training focuses on the application of the 2021 International residential Code (IRC), relevant provisions of the 2023 National Electrical Code (NEC) that govern the electrical systems requirements, and enforcement practices. Additionally, the course will review the structure and responsibilities of the Tennessee Commissioner’s Inspection Program, including the roles of state inspectors, required inspections, documentation, and coordination with local jurisdictions where applicable.
