Services for Children and Youth
Tennessee offers statewide 24/7/365 mobile crisis services for children and youth through partnership with four community providers: Youth Villages, Mental Health Cooperative, Frontier Health, and McNabb Center. Throughout the state, specialized Crisis Services staff assess and evaluate children and youth, up to age 18, who are experiencing a psychiatric emergency. You can access mobile crisis services by calling or texting 988 and pressing 0 to speak with a crisis counselor.
Additionally, the state has two Crisis Stabilization Units for children and youth operated by McNabb Center in Knoxville and Mental Health Cooperative in Nashville. One additional center for children and youth in Memphis is under construction.
